March Snow, Craiglockhart Hill, oil on board, 21 x 14.75cm
This work records the heavy snow that surprised us all in Scotland during February/March 2018. The bare trees on Craiglockhart Hill were stark against fading afternoon light and a few warm tones could be picked out against the more dominant cools. The dramatic twisting shapes of the foreground trees were much more dramatic than I had ever been aware of before.
